George Lake in fall, Killarney Provincial Park, Ontario
A first impression of Killarney Provincial Park (also a window onto Georgian Bay) reveals impressive white quarzite hills of the La Cloche range, and clear lakes nestled between them, like this very George Lake.
Walk along the shore to the gneiss rock on the left side. Jump in the water, swim to the pink granit rock, then walk again along the shore, among the rich flora - white and red pines, spruces, red-, sugar- and yellow maples, also aspen- and birch trees, vividly yellow in fall. Then swim with a canoe (like this two to the right), spend the night under the tent somewhere in the middle of the picture, and the next day climb on the white quarzite rocks - the rest of 1.1 bilion old mountains.
